Doesnt work with Disney plus, seems to only work with sites that already support PIP with Right click --> Picture in Picture. This extensions seems to just be a Shortcut To that. doesnt add PIP support to video sites that dont support it.

Beluga

Benyamain Yacoob

Very good for people with ADHD.

This is a barebones PIP function. Surprisingly coming from Google. PIP only has a pause/play function. Window size/resize by dragging edge of window. More functionality i.e. video controls, a full screen option etc. It does enough to keep the extension. As others have mentioned, stunned that it isn't a native part of Chrome and another reason why it's not my primary browser.

This doesn't work on Hulu or Disney+, you need "Picture-in-Picture With Volume Control": https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/picture-in-picture-with-v/jjjpjmbnbdjhbkclajpagjkefefnednl. It also allows you to control the volume using ↑ and ↓.

Extension perfectly does what's advertised, but would be much better with subtitle support and video controls on the popout player. Works on some sites outside of youtube as well, only one I can confirm for sure is twitch. Seeing as this extension is published by google it baffles me that this isn't a native feature in Chrome, make this be not a separate extension and I would rate the feature 5 stars

Harrison Burke

actually such a helpful extension

The PIP window seems to not resize according to screen's orientation. In my case, screen 1 (1080p) is landscape and screen 2 (1080p) is portrait. If I have the PIP window in screen 1 (1080p landscape), I can increase its size correctly up to to the video's resolution, e.g. for a 720p video, the PIP window can be resized up to 1280x720. But if I move the window to screen 2 (portrait), the PIP window automatically decreases its size and it has black bars on the top and bottom. Resizing this automatically crops the black bars but doesn't allow further size increase even though the screen width (720px) is less than 1280px. So it seems there's some scaling being done. I'm expecting it to still allow resizing up to 1280px width. Secondly, I would expect that even on screen 1 (1080p landscape), the PIP window can still be resized up to 1920x1080 even if its video content is only 720p - that would just mean that the video canvas will be resized/scaled-up.

Works for YouTube, but not for other websites. If you want an extension that works everywhere, you should use "Picture-in-Picture - floating video" instead.

Rafael Setragni

It's really useful, but on MacOS the floating window doesn't float over other full-screen windows. I know this is totally possible because Safari does exactly this with Youtube videos, but who wants to use Safari??

Rami Refaat Amin

Add progress bar and volume control.

Tunahan Yaşar

There is must be a controller(volume increase etc) in PiP

Ahmed Seoudi

Works great, but it should be a built-in feature.

Minhaaj Hussain

Premium feature even after having YT premium ahahah. Great Ext.

Michael List

nothing special. many other like it. not even anything like video progress control

Elisa Murabito

u guys need to stop complaining about this extension its literally for movie streaming websites like netflix lol

Andrew DeMaio

This feature is builtin to other websites like Rumble and X (twitter.) Why does Youtube need this extension and a keyboard shortcut?

Wren Turkal (w00t)

PIP is a builtin feature of youtube when using firefox. Why is this an extension instead of a builtin feature on Chrome?

Sarthak Choudhary

Perfect : Does exactly what I needed.

Katherine L.

amazing! I can watch my youtube videos while im doing other things in another tab! thank you!

Jimmy Merrild Krag

This is basically just a button and a shortcut to do what I can already do from the media control menu. While this can be useful enough, I don't understand why this has to be an extension, and it's not just build into the browser.

Filip Fryś

Stopped working on disney+
